Job Description For Legal Manager, Asia Pacific

Description

Position Summary:

The Legal Manager position forms part of the Asia Pacific Legal Department and supports the designated Senior Counsel as well as other team members in the Hyatt Hub - Hong Kong.
The position will focus on assisting corporate counsels with new hotel development projects across Asia Pacific region and providing legal support for the existing hotels in Asia Pacific region.
Ability to work independently for the assigned job responsibilities, and possess immaculate attention to detail, business acumen, innovative mindset and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the preparation and execution of various documents;
Maintaining, updating and filing and other company reports and compliance system for various matters including legal documents executed;
Engaging and instructing external counsel in accordance with company and department policies to manage transaction due diligence process;
Providing preliminary legal advice and guidance to various commercial teams and hotel colleagues on a wide variety of matters, including commercial contracts (such as marketing agreements, license agreements and vendor service agreements) and day-to-day operations;
Company secretarial materials in relation to entities incorporated in Hong Kong;
Providing administrative support for the Legal department.
Assisting in the preparation and execution of various documents

Qualifications
Experience

Preferably over 2 years of working experience, with relevant legal, real estate and/or transactional knowledge
A high degree of proficiency in written and spoken English is essential, and another Asian language (such as Vietnamese or Korean) would be advantageous.

Education

Candidate should hold a Bachelor of Laws degree (or equivalent) with preferably over 2 years of working experience, with relevant legal, real estate and/or transactional knowledge.
