A Shift Engineer will be responsible for monitoring andmaintenance on the hotel's boiler and chiller system. This individual will maintain the physical plan and property, and oversee our 3 chillers, 2 boilers, cooling towers, domestic water pumps, and heat exchangers. This role is also responsible for water softener, water treatment testing, and pool area maintenance. Daily activities include but are not limited to daily meter readings and logging/tracking as well as preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance of the plant equipment, using a windows based computer system. Ability to read blue prints and schematics is preferred, along with basic trouble-shooting skills. Indoor, outdoor, ladder,and overhead work is included in the needs of this position.

Qualifications
This will be a highly specialized position as a licensed "Stationary Engineer" for the City of New Orleans. This individual would also possess extensive experience and knowledge in the "Plant Operation" field.

Mandatory:

• 2nd Class Boiler's License
• 2nd Class HVAC or Refrigeration License

• Takes pride in one's work and a job well done
• 3 years expereince in plant operations
• Ability to lift moderate weight (50 lbs)
• Familiar with computer based building automation systems
• Able to walk and stand throughout duration of shift
• Flexible availability as needed, including weekends and holidays
