We are currently recruiting for a Night Supervisorto join our Front Office team.
Summary As the overseer of the hotel during the overnight night shift, the Night Supervisor welcomes our guests to the hotel, assures guest requests are handled, reviews and audits the daily transactions, sets the hotel up for a successful new day. The Night Supervisor also serves as the main point of contact for any safety, security, or guest relations concerns during the night shift.

As Night Supervisor, you will:

• Ensure all aspects of hotel accounting are processed correctly and accurately recorded, protecting the brand and asset against liability and fraud.
• Audit, balance, post and report on front desk, rooms, and food and beverage transactions.
• To be responsible for the timing of meal breaks and desk control in the absence or in lieu of the Assistant Manager - Front Office.
• Ensure hotel occupancy is maximized and that all guest accounts are checked in correctly.
• Run the night audit final, after ensuring all transactions are accurate.
• Attend to guest needs at the front desk, provide management presence.
• Prepare limited menu items for guest food and beverage orders as needed.
• To take responsibility of the night operations for the hotel in the absence of the Night Manager. In doing this, you will be responsible for leading the night auditor in their role, ensuring accuracy in the tasks completed.
• Conduct daily pre-shift briefings with employees communicating issues such as room's occupancy, arrivals and departures, VIP requirements, amenity set up, functions and events and any other areas of note as required.
• Delegate appropriately the duties and responsibilities required to ensure well equipped and resourced employees, nurturing and developing them whilst ensuring that standards of operation and safety are correctly maintained.
• Ensure all guest check-ins and check-outs are preformed according to Hyatt International brand standards and co-ordinate cashier and concierge duties.
• To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other departments/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.

The Night Auditor contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. The Night Supervisor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work as well as all Host functions during the overnight shift.

Role requirements:

• High level of grooming and personal presentation
• High level of both written and verbal communication
• To have complete working knowledge of the fire control panel and understanding of your role in an emergency.
• To ensure all associates follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to Fire, Hygiene and Health and Safety.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shift s including weekends and public holidays.
• Front Office experience in a busy five-star hotels is preferred but not essential.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Previous experience with Opera is advantageous
• Knowledge of accounting principles
