The Operations Manager will oversee all duties of hotel operations front of house which includes:

• Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the hotel's Front Office operations
• Maintain guest room inventory
• Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures
• Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures
• Maintain excellent inter-department communications
• Insures proper staffing levels for customer service goals
• Create expectations, lead people, manage processes, and hold people accountable for the agreed upon activities and time tables
• Scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures.

The Operations Manager should possess strong communication skills and demonstrate leadership abilities. In addition to assisting in the operation of the Front Office and Guest Services personnel, this position will respond quickly to guest requests and/or complaints in a friendly manner and ensure that appropriate action is taken to guarantee guest satisfaction.

• Responsibilities also include providing support to the Director of Operations, overseeing the general operation of hotel functions and assisting guests when necessary with the opportunity to act as a roving manager to accommodate scheduling. This position will require the ability to work all shifts, to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of progressive hotel operations management experience
• Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
• Excellent associate relations skills with the ability to train, coach, and counsel employees while overseeing their development
• Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
• Knowledge of operation systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Opera, and Reserve is a plus
• Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
