Description
The Senior Business Systems Analyst Finance Technology is responsible for operational support of Oracle R12 Financials and other Financial Applications used at Hyatt, including: iCaps and PMWeb. Technical and Functional expertise required in Oracle Financial modules - General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, iExpense and Fixed Assets.
Understanding of other modules in the Financials suite like Cash Management, General Ledger, Advanced Collections, Purchasing, Project Costing is preferred. The individual in this role should have advanced technical skillset in requirements gathering, design, and development of RICEW objects using PL/SQL and support production issues. This individual works under general supervision to formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact finding combined with a strong understanding of user needs, applicable business systems, technology and industry requirements.
Develops or modifies complex information systems including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic and workflows as necessary in order to automate/optimize processes through third party applications (e.g., Oracle EBS). Serves as a senior subject matter expert for business applications (EBS, iCaps, etc.) within scope of responsibility. Works at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
This position is also responsible for diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving system and data issues. He/she will need to determine the root cause of user-reported problems, provide accurate and timely solutions or workarounds, and implement technical and training resolutions to minimize reoccurrences. Should be a team player with excellent communication skills to support current users of Finance Technology suite of applications.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with customers at their level, both domestic and global.
Provides business consulting support to customers and proactively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
Participate in business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk / impact analysis.
Works closely with one or more vendors including ongoing performance monitoring, issue resolution, Statement of Work reviews, etc.
Responsible for gathering and documenting requirements using multiple methods including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, and task/process/workflow analysis.
Escalation point for complex issues performing system configuration and development/scripting as needed.
Manages test plans and performs application testing for configuration or system-related changes.
Manage module patches, bundles, and upgrades, including testing, documentation, and implementation with all stakeholders.
Audit policies and controls related to area of scope to ensure legal requirements are met and provide plan for compliance, as necessary.
Identify opportunities to improve systems through automation, process re-engineering and new/improved features.
Develop/deliver/maintain end user training and system documentation as needed.
Serves as Project Manager for select projects.
Provide production support and application maintenance for global systems within scope of responsibility.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 5 years of IT experience, preferably in a Global organization
Minimum 3 years of experience with Oracle Financials
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Microsoft Office proficiency required
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Experience with a case tracking system such as ServiceNow a plus
