The role

What you'll do:

1. Lead with Purpose - Support the daily kitchen operations and step in for the Executive Sous Chef when needed, ensuring smooth, high-quality service.

2. Inspire and Develop Talent - Mentor and support a diverse team of chefs, fostering a culture of learning, creativity, and collaboration.

3. Craft Memorable Menus - Collaborate on innovative, seasonal menus that reflect both guest preferences and sustainable practices.

4. Champion Excellence - Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation in line with Hyatt's global standards and local regulations.

5. Drive Operational Success - Support efficient scheduling, stock control, and cost management to ensure a well-run, guest-focused kitchen.

6. Grow Our Culture - Play an active role in recruitment, training, and team development, helping colleagues thrive and grow their careers with Hyatt.

Working Hours & Flexibility

Due to the dynamic nature of our business, this role requires flexibility with working hours, including a mixture of early and late shifts. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adaptable to the needs of our guests and operations. Some days additional hours may be required for the role.

About you:

1. Proven experience in a similar role within a high-end kitchen, preferably within an International Hotel Company

2. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

3. A passion for culinary excellence and innovation

4. Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards in the UK
