Staff Accountant will be responsible for both Accounts Payable and assisting with receiving of deliveries to the hotel. The purchasing assistance can include pallet breakdown, unloading, moving, and stocking of items delivered, receiving items in Birchstreet, and being backup to Purchasing Director. The AP side will include processing of all hotel invoices, maintaining and building vendor relations, ensuring timely product delivery and assist with any problems that may arise, tracking and delivery of packages, mail pick-up, record keeping of purchasing cards, daily and month-end assistance with reports, and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Can lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Manage and help oversee hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting, and analysis for the hotel.
• Take initiative to manage troubleshooting for respective special reporting and analysis projects.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, and financial accounting system use (Oracle Preferred)
• Assist in preparing month-end adjustments and journal entries while adhering to GAAP and SOX compliances.
• Two years accounting experience or degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business preferred
• Schedule is typically Monday-Friday (Tuesday/Friday schedule usually 6a-3p, other days usually 8a-5p)
