JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Executive Chef and within limits of established Majestic Hotel Tower policies and procedures, ensures to perform daily tasks to a consistent high standard in line with both departmental and brand standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-To report for duty on time, clean, tidy and wearing the proper uniform

-To strive to participate customer needs wherever possible and react to accordingly.

-To treat customers and colleagues in a polite courteous manner at all times. –
-To also give full cooperation and assistance in a prompt, caring and helpful manner to both customers and colleagues.

-To be flexible in assisting in other departments of the Hotel in response to the business and customer needs.

-To perform all daily tasks to a consistent high standards in line with both departmental and brand standards.

-To attend daily briefing in his section.

-To attend training sessions and meetings when required to operate in line with the training of information received.

-To demonstrate a pride in the workplace and a high level of commitment at all times.

-To report all maintenance requirements and hazards in the workplace to Supervisor or Manager.

-To comply with statutory and legal requirements for fire, health and food safety.

-To adhere to hotel rules and regulations.

-To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene during service.

-Preparation of mise-en-place or items as specified by the superior.

-To maintain meat and seafood stock level required to service as specified in respective area.

-To produce meat and seafood up to given specifications

-Check portion size of meat, fish etc. before leaving the butchery

-To carry out any other duties as specified by the Manager or Head of Department which are relevant to the Kitchen

-To help maintain a satisfactory level of portion control and avoid undue waste and spoilage.
