Role Profile:
Work cross functionally to execute internal communications strategies and programs that will inform and engage all employees across all Alshaya's operating markets.
The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:
Create and maintain direct internal relationships.
 Manage business relationships with internal communications stakeholders across the business (i.e. Executive, brand and functional teams),
 Work closely with external corporate communications manager to ensure alignment of message
Manage Alshaya's communications cascade process with responsibility for:
 Developing and maintaining core communications channels tailored to specific audiences
 Communicating core Alshaya initiatives to employees (ie CEO Quarterly Updates, brand/functional key announcements, etc)
 Working with Corporate Marketing to ensure that internal Postmasters and other internal collateral is aligned with the Alshaya brand and key corporate messaging)
Responsible for new channel development, including:
 Developing and enhancing company intranet
 In-store employee communications
 Identifying new opportunities that enhance employee communications
Collaborate with, and support internal teams to develop communication programs for key initiatives.
 Build programs to drive sustainability of Alshaya's Visions and Values.
 Support Customer Care communications
 Develop and share best practice
Develop programs to support employee engagement
 Identify opportunities to capture and respond to employee feedback eg Employee surveys, feedback mechanisms, celebrating success.
Establish policies, standards and overall brand message points to maintain consistency across all communications.
 Develop core internal communications policies and performance metrics
 Drive good communications through coaching and skills development
 Contribute to communications approach to crisis management
 Organise and manage workload within one's own area of expertise.
 Adhere to all company policies and procedures and lead by example.

 Educated to university level, (BA minimum) ideally with a degree in communications or PR
 Specific knowledge of internal communications methodology
 [8+] years experience of developing and delivering internal communications programmes for corporate organisations
 Proven history of creating, measurable communications programmes and materials for employees
 Experience in the retail or consumer goods sector preferable
 Experience of change management communications
 Able to understand complex business issues and translate them into compelling communications messages
 Effective networker and influencer - able to find and share success stories within the organisation
 Excellent writing abilities
 A 'people person'
