TELEPHONE OPERATOR: Male / Arabic Speaker

We are currently looking for young talents, enthusiastic aspirants who have passion for hospitality.
The ideal candidate must have a fluency in English, ability to communicate in Arabic is an advantage, previous experience is required, excellent Hospitality skills, able to work independently with attention to details and able to cope up with a busy working environment.
1. Provides prompt and courteous service to guests by operating the switchboard according to Somewhere-hotels standards.
2. Communicates clearly and courteously to all incoming and outgoing requests.
3. Demonstrates fluency in the use of equipment and systems relevant to the function (switchboard, fax, key equipment, and printers, hotel alarm systems, and other Front Office equipment).
4. Transfers incoming calls promptly to the appropriate extension or guest room.
5. Assists guests in make long distance calls by instructing them on the appropriate procedures and/or placing calls for them.
6. Responds to guest enquiries regarding the hotel’s in-house facilities, services and events.
7. Provides courteous, prompt and accurate hotel communications to guests and employees.
8. Takes and delivers accurate and complete messages both internal and external customers.
9. Manages the wake-up call procedure by accepting and recording.
10. Communicates with authorized employees using mobile phones.
11. Follows established hotel security and safety policies as required.
12. Forwards incoming faxes, guest mail, packages and messages promptly.
13. Prepares lists and reports as requested.
14. Checks the daily arrival list and familiarizes self with VIP arrivals and in-house VIPs/dignitaries/special guests.
15. Stays current with developments in the hotel by attending shift briefings of the Duty Manager.
16. Maintains a logbook for the switch board function for record and shift handover purposes.
17. Is fully aware of hotel facilities and services, room availability, exact location and nearby landmarks to advise guests who are travelling to the hotel by own transport.
18. Assist the Front Office Team when necessary.
