We are looking for candidates who are passionate about hospitality. Being courteous, friendly and efficient is a innate part of their personality. In order to be considered for this role, you will have educated with appropriate professional qualifications and up to date professional knowledge. You will possess relevant experience in a similar position in 4 or 5 stars hotel.
You will have a high degree of ‘emotional intelligence’, remaining rational and calm under pressure as well as open-minded and excited by cultural and professional diversity.
Excellent communication skill in written and spoken English is a must.
Salary & Benefits:
This position offers a highly competitive salary and package which includes Basic salary, accommodation, transport, duty meals, air ticket and medical insurance.
•To be fully aware of the department’s Standard Operating Procedures and the hotel’s and Staff Accommodation’s fire evacuation procedures and to adhere to them at all times
•To be fully aware of all hotel policies, procedures and government rules & regulations and to maintain good relations with the police and other local authorities at all times
•To interact and communicate with colleagues, suppliers, etc. in a courteous, friendly, open and honest manner at all times
•To be consistently well groomed & professional in appearance and to wear the appropriate uniform and name badge at all times
•To attend team/departmental meetings and hotel training programs as and when needed or instructed
•To be innovative, suggesting new ideas and investigating new ways of doing things or new services for our employees
•To carry out shifts/tasks when required and to perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Management
•To process and register employees in and out of the Staff Accommodation
•To maintain accurate records for reporting and accounting, including petty cash
•To be vigilant and react swiftly and calmly to all emergency situations
•To assist in enforcing all Staff Accommodation policies and procedures
•To assist in maintaining security by checking identifications of anyone who is on the Staff Accommodation
•Ensure correct registration of any guests in the Staff Accommodation
•To ensure that the Staff Accommodation is checked regularly, all floors, hallways and stairwells to be free from obstruction and anything unusual is reported
•To seek out fire and safety hazards
•To ensure that a complete maintenance and incident logs are kept
•To be responsible for issuing, collecting and exchanging of all Staff Accommodation linens
•To assist the Cluster Accommodation Manager in welcoming new staff and to arrange their accommodation prior to their arrival
•To assist in maintaining order, discipline and service employee housing facilities through efficient and courteous operation
•To assist Housekeeping in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in and around the Staff Accommodation facility
•To assist in coordinating with the outside cleaning & maintenance contractors, the hotel’s Housekeeping and Engineering departments concerning all cleanliness and maintenance issues
•To assist in coordinating with the outside cleaning & maintenance contractors to maintain excellent hygiene and maintenance standards in order to provide our employees with a healthy and clean environment
•To assist in looking after employees in relation to their health and safety and to report any urgent matters to the appropriate people
•Assist in preparation of decoration for Star of The Month celebration and any other staff engagement activities/events
•Ensure the cleanliness of the common areas and recreation rooms
•Making sure all recreation facilities and equipment working properly. Report any damages or maintenance required for repair
•Previous experience in a similar role in UAE
•Knowledge of DEWA application & cancellation preferred
•Good communication skills in English (Written & Spoken)
•Ability to handle complex situations & multi-task
•Basic computer skills
•Flexible in terms of work schedule
