We are currently looking for an Asst. Finance Manager to join our dynamic Finance Team. The objective of the role is to achieve real time data presenting an accurate picture of performance and allowing timely lodgement of periodic accounts and informed forecasting. Your systems reduce errors and your system checks uncover them.

Key Responsibilities:
• Management of costs and revenue generation to ensure business targets are achieved.
• Assistance with the formulation of measures and targets, and management of their application at all levels; tracking of progress.
• Annual, monthly and project budgeting to control or reduce costs and maximize profit generation and shareholder returns.
• Demand management and forecasting to assist resource allocation and contingency planning.
• Capital management including protection and optimization of assets and productivity improvement.
• Operational effectiveness to ensure accuracy and quality, waste minimization and productivity.
• Monitoring of compliance to ensure that operations are conforming to internal and external standards or regulations.
• Compile regular reports of cross checks, spots checks and audits for review of quality.
• Prepare checklists and audit their use in all areas of the department. Devise new checklists for new activities, test them and implement.
• Oversee all entries to the ledger and ensure accuracy, accountability and transparency.
• Maintain clear records of all cash handling and the use of all convertibles.
• Lead the culture of "quality at source" to ensure that month end accounts are as trouble-free and accurate as possible.
• Give priority attention early in the month to areas in month-end that are more likely to hold up close or require explanation or later reversal.
• Quality control the draft budgeting processes in the annual budgeting. Quality control project budgeting.
• Oversee and quality assure purchasing, receiving, credit control, and payables and receivables, to reduce exposures and limit risk.
• Assist with the training of operational managers on the financial basis of their decisions.
• Assist managers to identify trend and risk in the monthly P&Ls and generate regular comparative reports.
• Oversee the collection program and ensure fast dispatch of all banquets, group, airline and company-invoiced business.
• Supervise all account balances and trigger collection activity and review activity at agreed thresholds.
• Supervise the daily audit cycle and do not allow anomalies and poor behavior to go unchecked; demonstrate a culture of control.
• Supervise timely payment of agent commissions and the disbursement of taxes and charges and associate incentives.
• Compile ongoing comparative metrical reports to assist operational managers to see trends and compare performance over time.
• Supervise the cost checking and cost analysis functions and publish benchmarks and targets; analyse profit margins and show total cost.
• Cost account for environmental best practice and identify in dollar terms environmental initiatives which will produce economic gains.
• Cost account for all products including product inclusions and ensure operations managers understand the cost of services provided.
• Supervise all discounts, rebates, no cash reduction sales/inventory, and reversals, and ensure that each and every is documented and signed off for audit purposes.
• Investigate and report on any significant discrepancy uncovered in stocktakes.
• Supervise the recording and sign off for all assets acquired or disposed.

Essential Skills & Attributes:
• Minimum of 2 years experience as Finance Supervisor in a reputed hospitality establishment.
• Ability to work and deliver results in a fast paced work environment.
• A Team player.
• Should have excellent grooming standards.
• First class people skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Should be excellent in using various computer packages.
