Male CDP, with knowledge of Indian Cuisine required for a Hotel in Dubai. Chinese Cuisines knowledge is an added advantage.
Responsible to cook and provide high quality dishes. Responsible for supervising staff and ensuring high levels of food preparation to deliver an excellent service.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
 Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
 Ensure correct preparation, cooking presentation of all food in the section as per recipes, standard operating procedures.
 Ensure standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation of food is followed.
 Responsible for being fully conversant with all menu items available and maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu and be able to explain dish descriptions.
 Cook consistently and enthusiastically at a high level as directed by Sous Chef/Executive Head Chef.
 Ensure and maintain a satisfactory level of food portion control to avoid waste and spoilage.
 Support and assist the Sous Chef in food production, maintaining and improving profit margins.
 Assist in managing the Kitchen staff in the absence of the Sous Chef.
 Assist in maintaining standards of presentation in all buffet display areas.
 To be conversant with facility, services and special promotions offered by Hotel.
 Ensure kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment are washed, cleaned and sanitized according to hygiene regulations and standards.
 Check and ensure the temperature of all appliances.
 Responsible for ensuring that all foods are stored and kept in the correct manner according to hygiene regulations and standards.
 Responsible for making sure that all Kitchen tools are used in a safe and appropriate manner.
 Report all maintenance requirements and hazards in the workplace to Sous Chef immediately.
 Responsible to check refrigeration cleaning, stock rotation, date coding and cleaning of the station cleaning.
 Responsible for ordering of stock as required and directed by the Sous Chef.
 Follow all standards of food hygiene and HACCP guidelines as per Dubai Municipality.
 Responsible for maintaining personal hygiene standards and a tidy appearance at all times whilst on duty.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
 Professional Chef Training Course / Culinary school diploma.
 Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
 Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
 Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
 Excellent knowledge of food preservation, preparation and presentation.
 Good level of English.
