To provide an efficient and friendly service to all guests in the Restaurant regarding all food and beverage. Responsible for preparing and setting upthe Restaurant ready for guests. Responsible for assisting in all Room Service duties and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Welcome guests to the Restaurant.
Assist guests with seating and tables.
Provide guests with the Restaurant menus and explain the menu to the guests.
Take orders and make sure that food and beverage items are served to guest’s tables in an efficient manner.
Responsible for making sure that all tables are clean and set, and ensure place settings are according to the service standards.
Check menus to ensure they are current and presentable and report any menus that are not to the standards to the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager.
Anticipate and address guest’s service needs.
Answer questions regarding menus.
Responsible for making sure that all tables are cleared and cleaned, that ashtrays are emptied and replaced with clean ones.
Present accurate billing to guests and process payment accordingly.
Take soiled plates/cutlery/glassware from the Restaurant to the required area for cleaning, and deposit in a proper manner for cleaning.
Responsible for making sure that the Restaurant’s settings and services are in line with all health, safety and food hygiene standards.
Ensure all equipment and supplies are handled in an appropriate manner.
Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
Provide excellent service for all room service requirements and guests.
Handle guest’s complaints and make sure that all complaints are reported to the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent.
Minimum 1 to 2years of experience as a waiter/waitress.
Excellent level of English.
Proficient understanding of health, safety and food hygiene standards.
