Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Day-to-day management of a hotel and its staff.
Commercial accountability, budgeting, financial management, business planning, organising and directing of all hotel departments.
Establish a strategic overview and plan ahead to maximize profits and revenue.
Responsible for creating and developing the Brand, Vision and Mission making sure that they are followed and achieved.
Responsible for preparing all annual business plans, financial projections, budgeting and manpower requirements for the hotel with the Head of Departments.
Responsible for the execution and management of the annual business plans, financial projections, budgets and the manpower plans through the Heads of Departments and the Leadership Team.
Responsible for making sure that the Heads of Department are held accountable for the management of their Departments including all decisions pertaining to their Departments and Divisions.
Responsible for ensuring that all Heads of Departments provide the required services throughout the hotel according to the quality, standards and timelines expected.
Responsible for making sure that all SOP’s are in line with the standards, the vision and brand of the hotel.
If required deal with customer complaints and comments; addressing problems and troubleshooting.
Ensure that all maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishing for the hotel are in accordance with the hotel operating standards and that contractors and suppliers are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.
Responsible for determining the appropriate strategies , business planning, goals and targets for the Sales & Marketing Department towards maximizing the hotel revenue
Responsible for creating sales target
Responsible for observing the market, identifying trends and monitor the main competitors.
Review Travel industry research to identify trends that could affect the hotel.
Overall responsibility for growing revenue, increasing market share and contributing to Hotels growth and profitability.
Responsible for carrying out inspections of hotel and its services.
Responsible for all recruitment activities pertaining to the Office of the GM and all Heads of Departments.
Ensure that all Heads of Department and direct reports comply and adhere to all HR Policies & Procedures and SOPs.
Responsible for the recruitment, management, performance objectives and training of the sales and marketing team.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in senior role
Previous management experience within sales and marketing required
Excellent understanding of the Sales and Marketing operations within the Hotel industry
Bachelor's degree in hotel, business or hospitality management; associate's degree or certificate with field experience.
Profound knowledge regarding the activities of managing a Hotel.
Experience within the UAE Hospitality Sector is a must.
Fluency in English is essential.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is required
Excellent working skills with all Microsoft Window Applications
