DUTIES:

•Prepares daily Mise-en-place
•Ensures highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with new products, recipes and techniques
•Assists the Hotel Head Chef in reviewing and analysing existing menus and recipes.
•Instructs and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in set up and supervising of buffets and ala carte service
•Actively participates in the creation of new menus and dishes.  
Experiences and skills required:
 

•Excellent communication skills in reading and writing English
•Trade Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
•Experience in Hotel environment
•Computer literacy MS Word, Outlook and Excel
•Staff supervision
•  Excellent organisational skills

•Understanding of workplace practices in Work Health and Safety
