We are looking for a dynamic and creative culinary executive who will lead our Culinary Resort kitchen team to the next level. Last couple years we have transformed, renovated and positioned our Resort F&B outlets into individual and unique concepts. This is a very high profile position in a high profile company property. The Executive Chef is a key player in effectively supporting our current growth, recognition for excellence and desire to be an exemplary resort in guest satisfaction with the Holiday Inn brand. The candidate selected will possess exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record in successfully managing multiple Food and Beverage outlets including specialty cuisine and high volume in Higher end hotel brands. This Individual will be responsible for: the ongoing training and development of our culinary teams, effective consistent improvement and growth of each F&B outlet, design, compose and management of all Banquet, restaurants and bars food and beverage menus, ensure our foods are prepared with flair and representative of current food trends in flavor styling, composition and presentation, ability to effectively forecast, expense and food revenue budgeting, manage all food production and purchasing efforts, effective planning, managing and coordinating all kitchen operations and expenses including labor, food and controllable costs, ensure a clean and safe working environment for our associates and clients in accordance with our company and country safety food handling and safety working regulations. This is a high exposure position in actively supporting senior management in effective sales and marketing efforts through high profile events, regular interaction with key client and meeting planners, members of media and public relations. You may serve as Manager on Duty or acting Food and Beverage Manager Position in the absence of the Food and Beverage Director, assist with other duties as assigned<br><br> Qualifications include completion of a formal associate degree in culinary arts, baking and pastry arts and or bachelor's degree in culinary arts management, baking and pastry arts management and or culinary science management degree with a known international culinary school of higher education preferred and minimum 3 years previous experience as an Executive Chef with international higher tiered branded mid-sized full service hotels-resorts or minimum 5 years' experience as Executive Sous Chef -Sous Chef ( number two ) experience in a larger full service international higher tiered branded hotel -resort . People development skills are essential. The ability to effectively interact and conduct Media Food demonstrations, Interviews and actively participate in Public Relation events, including knowledge of social media tools such as Tweeter will be considered a plus, wine and spirits knowledge and food pairing a must. This job requires Food and Beverage Financial Management knowledge as well as catering menu design, composition and menu management experience. An alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler cards may be required by local or state government agency. You may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. This job requires ability to perform the following: carrying or lifting items up to 50 pounds, moving about the kitchen, handling food, objects, products and utensils, bending, stooping and kneeling.
