At the moment we're looking for a Manager, Sales and Marketing Communications - Asia, Middle East, Africa (AMEA), for a 1 year contract, to join our fun and energetic team at Singapore Corporate Office.

Job Summary
Reporting to Senior Director, Communications, the Manager, Sales & Marketing Communications is responsible for developing, managing and implementing the Sales & Marketing Communications approach covering all stakeholders from internal functions, GMs and Senior Operators to our Owners. This would support regional and global business and communications priorities, while being focused on building an understanding and advocacy for Sales & Marketing initiatives to ensure they are deeply embedded into the business.

Duties and Responsibilities


•Act as a business partner to the Sales & Marketing function ensuring their communications requirements are met to drive understanding and advocacy amongst key stakeholders
•Work in collaboration with all teams across the Sales & Marketing function both in AMEA roles as well as within the sub-regions
•Build an editorial calendar for the year which ensures all messages are delivered and there is weighting to the most important priorities
•Identify milestones and engage stakeholders from across the business to tell our story.
Commercial Value Story

•Develop the overarching commercial value story narrative for use by Sales & Marketing as well as Development so a consistent message is delivered across the business
•Each Sales & Marketing priority should have a compelling communications kit to ensure all key stakeholders can articulate the value generated from these initiatives
•Act as a central resource for Sales & Marketing communications across the region, working with AMEA and sub-regional colleagues to develop and create content
•Develop a Sales & Marketing communications plan that is focused on building understanding and advocacy across key stakeholders
•Seek out opportunities for our key Sales & Marketing spokespeople to tell the commercial value story both internally and externally and once confirmed develop content required
•Value Story Content development:
•Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure all messages are delivered to the right stakeholder groups
•Write and package materials to tell the value story in a clear and compelling way
•Research and develop ongoing content for multiple uses and channels including Townhalls, Performance Pitstops, GM Briefing Pack, quarterly owner updates, CCO quarterly updates
•Emerging trends - follow trends within the hospitality industry and be flexible and nibble to develop content as details unfold i.e. new Government initiative, new stance by competitors etc
•Manage the budget for all Sales & Marketing communications initiatives to ensure the function delivers within the available budget.
•Support Sales & Marketing spokespeople to enable them to tell our commercial value story to the appropriate audiences and act as a spokesperson for IHG.
•Defining success and tracking / measuring progress and results
•Evaluating the results and effectiveness of communications initiatives
•Formally report results through our tools and systems, communicating them to our stakeholders as appropriate
Centralised Content Repository

•Create, develop and manage a centralised content repository for all Sales & Marketing communication materials
•Manage agency resources and support required for content repository
•Build a governance and processes around ways of working across Sales & Marketing to ensure a smooth delivery of information
•Ensure materials on the content repository is refreshed on a regular basis so updated information is always available <br><br>Qualifications

•Educated to degree level or equivalent.

•At least 7 years' experience in communications
•Experience in Commercial and Marketing Communications
•Experience of managing agencies and budgets
•Experience of working within a complex business with a range of stakeholders with different needs and interfacing with senior people
•Experience working with international brands would be an advantage

•Is confident, credible and compelling when working with senior stakeholders.
•Able to engage and inspire with energy and belief in communications.
•Collaborative approach and partnership mind set - able to build strong relationships and be known as a trusted advisor that is well respected by IHG colleagues.
•Clear and confident written and oral communication skills.
•A can-do attitude, with a track record of delivering complex programmes of work. Demonstrates an ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
•Ability to stay calm in a crisis situation.
•Proven ability to work effectively across a matrix / virtual team.
•Strong results orientation with balanced focus on project development and implementation.
•Ability to manage budgets.
•Strong expertise in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
