The Disaster Recovery Manager is responsible for the design, deployment, testing as well as sustaining support for the various aspects of disaster recovery and continuity/resilience services for the platforms supported by Corporate Services, Information Technology. Specific responsibilities include;

- Owns and manages the disaster recovery plan (DRP). Specifically, develop and establish disaster recovery procedures for the restoration of mission-critical business applications in the event of natural disasters, technical failures, power outages, and/or human interference.
- Coordinates with stakeholders on recovery policies and standard operating procedures.
- Conducts and research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of contingency planning and development efforts.
- Partners with existing Business Continuity Practices for alignment of solutions to Recovery Point and Recovery Time Objectives.
- Assists recovery support and business resumption staff during a disaster in the implementation of response and alternate operating strategies. Acts as a coordinator during an emergency situation.


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in creating, testing and refining disaster recovery services in multiple models of service delivery (on premise/hybrid/cloud/managed service).
- At least 10 years of IT work experience in one or more infrastructure disciplines. Working in a multi-Business Unit operating environment, specifically in a shared services role.
- Thorough understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies, as well as the methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses.
- Outstanding project management skills with a focus on planning, organization, and directing the testing of emergency responses, recovery support, and business resumption procedures.
- Solid focus on communication and written communication skills - will communicate with all levels of management
- Strong vendor management skills and ability to drive results on agreed upon contract deliverables with outsourced service providers.
