Project Manager - Resort Renovation & Design

Position Summary The Project Manager (PM) will play a leadership role as part of a high performing, results oriented Resort Renovation & Design (RR&D) project team developing new amenities & public spaces, upgrades and/or renovations to existing sites while working in a team environment. Assist team with coordination of work with other internal and external business partners including but not limited to: procurement, legal, accounting, brand services, IT, resort management, sales, inventory management, architects, engineers, contractors and specialty consultants. The PM will be responsible for managing multiple projects in the role of Project Manager and Owner's Representative.The PM will take each project from inception to final turnover, managing all engaged consultants, developing and monitoring scope, schedule, budget and quality for compliance with company standards, brand standards and project specifications. The PM will provide accurate and timely reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Vice President of RR&D and other appropriate team members while maintaining proper project management paper trails. Will be the project lead on projects and be able to take control of typical design and construction situations independently as they arise. Must possess a positive attitude and work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be vigilant, be able to express authority and see that all project management responsibilities are carried out properly and expeditiously. Must be objective when evaluating situations versus merely reacting to them.
Qualifications

- Civil Engineering, Architectural or Construction Management Degree with a minimum of five years Hospitality construction experience preferred or minimum of ten years commercial construction experience with five years in Hospitality construction.
- Experience building and renovating hotels and/or resorts preferred.
- Knowledge in all aspects of construction and renovation including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and structural design .
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and FF&E product specifications .
- Must be able to develop and analyze a critical path schedule.
- Strong computer skills in Primavera P3 or P6, Sharepoint, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Project
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must understand component useful life and cash flows as it relates to reserve studies.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience with Primavera, Expedition or similar construction software.
- CADD skills a plus.
- PMP and/or LEED certification/experience a plus.
