The Director of Social Media serves as a highly visible leader and strategic voice for the global RCI Digital Group within the Marketing organization. This role has responsibility for developing, executing and reporting out on a range of initiatives within social media. The overall objectives of this position are to drive traffic from social media platforms to RCI online destinations, enhance total customer engagement, and provide leadership and oversight of our enterprise wide social listening operation.

The successful candidate will have a passion for developing and activating online communities via social channels, and be a creative thinker/problem-solver. World-class operations are a hallmark of RCI and this role will be accountable for maintaining and growing that reputation as the business-owner for our social listening operation serving the needs of some of our most prestigious brands and affiliated businesses.

Key Responsibilities:


- Leadership for a team of 5 that focuses on the creation and execution of social media content, campaigns, analytics and services.

- Develop/refine the go-forward Social Media strategic plan

- Manage agency relationships that extend and empower the internal teams

- Augment our Listening Center Services business to deliver the highest quality service to clients and develop new features to attract new business.

- Be an internal evangelist for transforming our business through leveraging social communities.

- Work closely with our digital marketing team on the paid social strategy across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Snapchat

- Amplify RCI's earned influencer strategy by implementing new programs and building relationships

- Partner with Digital and eCommerce teams to integrate social community experiences into RCI .com and Mobile App properties.

- Align efforts across the marketing organization to ensure social channel integration and support of overall brand campaign goals.

- Partner with Insights team to refine the social media reporting and analytics structure. Report-out to senior management on key trends and opportunities.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


- 8+ years total experience, with 3-5 years' focused on social media marketing.
- Strong communications skills: verbal and written
- Experience leading teams
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and train teams

- Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:


- Hospitality Industry experience.
