Support Corporate Office Contracts Director to implement the overall contract administration and cost control for the luxury resort renovation project in Fiji.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Budget Development

• Prepare preliminary elemental estimates based on design information available
• Prepare cost estimates and provide cost planning advice throughout design development
• Provide comparative analysis on alternative designs, materials and systems  
Tender

• Prepare tender documentations for tendering contractors
• Assist Contracts Director in the coordination of consultant invitations and contract negotiations  
Project Implementation and Cost Control

• Implement cost control measures across all construction stages
• Conduct the administration of payment process, evaluation of variation orders, claims and final accounts
• Generate financial reports on progress payment valuations, forecast of expenditure and final cost and agreement of the project  
Handover

• Support Contracts Director with handover procedures and settlement of final accounts  
EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline. Relevant professional qualification would be an advantage
• 5 - 7 years’ relevant hands-on experience in handling QS works on site for mixed-use/ luxury hotel projects. Prior working experience with developers and/ or consultancy firms would be an advantage
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Sound contractual knowledge
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
