The Social Marketing Executive will be responsible to actively manage both small and large scale communities (seed, feed, moderate, etc.) and will be involved in developing and presenting data-driven recommendations.

The Role

As the Social Marketing Executive you will be primarily responsible for community moderation and management, this role will also be called upon to help the business stay abreast of the general social media landscape

You will be responsible for owning several key aspects of IHG's social community initiatives for our regional brands including seeding conversation within a given community, content moderation as necessary, promotion of posts, stakeholder reporting.

You will also be working at all levels to ensure maximum benefit from cross-functional synergies, including working with the Brand Teams, PR, Commercial and Global Social Teams.

Responsibilities

· Develop and implement community management plans which build into the overall Brand annual business plans.

· Play a part of the brand editorial team process, both from a channel and content perspective.

· Develop processes and delivery systems for all programs and initiatives

· Monitor the community initiatives progress against agreed objectives, including financial

· Report progress to the Manager at defined intervals.

· Monitor and control all budgeted expenditures to constantly achieve financial targets

· Work with the Paid Social Executive to execute commercial activity and campaigns.

· Monitor all relevant competitive activity across the marketing mix

· Make appropriate recommendations to management.

· Develop and maintain excellent working relationships across all functions

Profile:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. In depth knowledge of marketing principles and concepts and previous experience demonstrating creative thinking and problem solving skills is essential.

You will also have a baseline understanding of how websites/communities are built and maintained and a working knowledge of prominent public social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc.)

Strong project management experience and skills in organising, planning and executing new projects from conception through implementation and evaluation is highly beneficial for the role.
