Executive Chef will be responsible for the efficient running of the division in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
Executive Chef will function as the Production Manager for the Food and Beverage Department, to ensure that all the outlets and banquets operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel and are individually profitable.
Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Strategically analyses business performance to facilitate accurate and meaningful forecasting. Maximises employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.
Constantly evaluates local, national and international market trends, vendors and other hotel/restaurant operations to make sure that the hotel's own operations remain competitive and cutting edge.
Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate.

Qualifications


Recognised qualification in Kitchen Production and Management or equivalent
Multi cuisine exposure is a must. Creative with Italian & Western culinary focus and flare
Comprehensive Kitchen management, menu planning and operational skills
Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards
Minimum three to four years work experience as Executive Chef
Good practical, operational and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity are a must
