The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks in support of the WHG Finance leadership team. Primary responsibilities will include preparing wire requests and routing them for approval, assisting with the commission payment process, and assisting with the monthly close process.

In support of the commission's process, the Finance Coordinator will take direction from the Compensation Manager and be responsible for the daily administration of commission and third party payments. Responsibilities will include preparing invoices and statements for the month-end close accrual and regular payroll cycles both domestic and international, providing status updates on pending payments, and compiling monthly data to provide year-to-date analyses and reporting on all responsibilities.

The Finance Coordinator will also assist the Accounting team with various tasks associated with the monthly close process including maintaining the monthly close SOX internal controls binder, printing account reconciliations submitted by satellite offices, uploading journal entries during month-close process, and assisting with the quarterly external auditor support process.

The Finance Coordinator will also assist the WHG Finance Vice Presidents with setting up meetings and conference calls, making travel arrangements, filing expense reports and managing the department document retention process.

The candidate should be self-motivated and will be required to independently take action to achieve the organization's goals. The candidate should have strong PC skills (including Excel), and strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Responsibilities:

- Assist the Compensation Manager with the commissions process.


- Responsibilities will include preparing the preliminary data for global commission payments, preparing and distributing commission statements and developer invoices for all regions in accordance within established deadlines, preparing and tracking wire and check requests, assisting with the month end close process, and proper filing of contracts and supporting documents. The Finance Coordinator will also compile monthly data to provide year-to-date analyses and reporting on areas of responsibility.


- Assist the Finance team with the monthly close process. Responsibilities will include uploading journal entries, maintaining the monthly close SOX internal controls binder, managing account reconciliations submitted by satellite offices, and assisting with the quarterly external auditor support process.


- Administrative responsibilities supporting the Finance department leadership team including scheduling meetings and conference calls, submitting expense reports, filing account reconciliations and journal entries, and managing the department document retention process.


- Preparing wire requests and routing for approval.


- Ad hoc requests.

Qualifications
1) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook and PowerPoint
2) Strong attention to detail
3) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 4) High level of professionalism 5) Strong ability to multi-task, learn quickly and work well within a diverse team 6) Ability to work overtime during reporting periods (i.e., January, April, July and October) and as needed throughout the year

Experience/Certificates/Education 1) College degree required preferably in accounting or finance
2) 0-2 years' experience required
