Join us as a part time Commis Chef at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort. You will have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we're looking for someone who has a passion for food and an individual culinary style and wants to add value in an environment that will allow them to discover new and innovative products and ways of working within a global brand.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be a motivated person with a positive attitude who has an interest to progress your culinary career, develop your skills, and expose yourself to varying styles of kitchen operations and different styles of cuisine. You will be responsible for producing a wide range of quality products whilst exercising your knowledge of hygiene and safety and maintaining our high guest service standards.

You will be exposed to, and work in all areas of the kitchen, learning from senior Chefs in a large kitchen operation with strong culinary skills and quality offerings. You will be involved daily in the preparation and production of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner services across all Food & Beverage outlets, giving you exposure to a la carte, bistro, fine dining and bar style cookery.

It will be paramount for you to pay strict attention to timing and essential for you to stay organized and on top of your work at all times. To achieve results, you will be self-motivated and will perform your role with a sense of urgency. You will be creatively focused and have a genuine passion for creating exceptional cuisine.<br><br> Ideally you will have 1 to 2 years previous culinary experience in a hotel or luxury restaurant environment. You will have your commercial cookery certification and preferably you will have worked with a food safety system such as HACCP.

You will have the flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays across a seven day roster. You must hold a current Australian driver's license and also meet the legal requirements to work in this country.
