Job Ref:

1. Directs and coordinates the activities of all security personnel.
2. Develop and maintain good working relations with the law Enforcement Agencies, Government Officials and other Security Personnel’s
3. Ensure necessary paperwork, administration, controls and records are undertaken and maintained as directed by security legislation.
4. Attend daily operation briefings to ensure awareness of activities in the hotel, sharing relevant information with the team.
5. Manage patrols of the hotel at frequent intervals, documenting activities in accordance with safety, security policies and procedures.
6. Manage and perform thorough investigations on incidences as and when they occur. This may include but is not limited to; guest or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, noise disturbance etc.
7. Process all written reports involving security related incidents as mentioned above.
8. Seek to improve safety and security at the hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective.
9. Develop and maintain written procedures (with relevant department heads) for handling emergencies that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, power failure or bomb threats.
10. Participate in relevant training to gain a comprehensive understanding for the successful implementation and execution of emergency procedures.
11. Ensure all hotel entrances and exits are without obstruction, secured by appropriate resources where applicable, locked and unlocked in accordance with the hotel’s policy.
12. Manage the security of the hotel’s key system, ensuring all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access.
13. Ensure all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering.
14. Complete a daily security log, including pertinent information from the shift, to maintain for record and shift handover purposes.
15. Manage and supervise the monitoring of the hotel’s CCTV system and appropriate back up of information.
16. Carries out regular analysis of security processes to identify any short falls, implementing necessary corrective action where applicable.
