SCOPE: Night Audit is responsible for accurately balance all hotel guest accounts and hotel outlets on a daily basis. Distribute of daily reports and discrepancies. Assist guests/owners/employees in a courteous and professional manner.


- Follow all rules and regulations as set forth in the WVR Employee Handbook.
- Acting Manager on Duty from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
- Balance on a nightly basis, all hotel outlets.
- Post all remaining charges from outlets to guest, master or city ledger accounts.
- Run and distribute reports to various departments.
- Answer efficiently and professionally all incoming telephone calls and directing to proper extensions.
- Register and accommodate all late registering guests/owners.
- Follow closely and stay informed on all activities within the Steamboat Springs area.
- Read all memos, front desk log book and any information pertaining to groups.
- Follow all in-house credit policies.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of room locations, room types.
- Adhere to front office procedures and such.
- Know all cash handling procedures.
- Run computer back-up for the entire company, ensuring that all steps have been followed to eliminate any unnecessary errors.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of reservations; take same day and future reservations when applicable
- Know cancellation and advance deposit policies.
- Familiar with all safety and emergency procedures and the response for each incident.
- Be aware of accident prevention policies.
- Report any unusual occurrences and/or requests to management or security.
- Attend departmental and all employee meetings when requested.
- On-going communication with co-workers and manager to make them aware of any errors in shift work and what steps need to be followed to correct them.



1. 1-year experience as a Supervisor at a large hotel or condo-hotel property

2. Extensive background and intimate working knowledge of front office procedures and policies associated with the operation of a large condominium property management company.

KNOWLEDGE of: customer service techniques; a general knowledge and understanding of the hospitality business and clientele market targeted by The Resort Company; local lodging competition; local activities, attractions, and other community offerings.

SKILL at: communicating effectively, verbally and in writing; organizational skills and detail oriented with the ability to perform various tasks at one time; handling difficult situations, often times under stressful conditions; creative thinking and effective problem solving; computer skills, with specific experience in First Resort Software. The individual must possess initiative and strong supervisory and motivation skills to effectively manage a large number of seasonal, part-time and full-time staff in a variety of highly visible and diverse positions.

PREREQUISITES: ability to respond quickly to emergencies and follow established procedures; ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations; ability to clearly communicate; mental abilities include oral comprehension, written comprehension, reasoning and memorization; ability to walk, stand and sit for long periods of time;
