Job Location

Located in the heart of new Dubai, the five star Grand Millennium Dubai is conveniently accessible from the city's prime business and leisure attractions. The hotel is within the close proximity from prominent shopping malls, beaches, touristic destinations and champion-ship standard golf courses. The 340 room hotel features modernly decorated rooms and newly refurbished serviced apartments. Key Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities
• Supports Sous Chef in the daily operations and supervise the team
• Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays and ensure proper portion, arrangement and food garnish to be served
• Ensures that section mis en place is set up on time according to functions as well as spoilage and wastage is kept to a strict minimum
• Monitor and control inventory of the cold kitchen items and participate in establishing the month-end inventory in the pastry.
• Handle all food transfers out of the cold kitchen to other areas and ensure proper documentation is adhered to at all times.
• Ensure that cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment's are always maintained<br><br> • Must have minimum 3 years related experience preferably in a five star hotel and should have good working knowledge of cold kitchen section
• Knowledge of volume production and ability to maintain the highest quality standards
• Ability to handle multi tasks and to think beyond the immediate perceived requirement of the guests
