Senior Decision Analyst

Wyndham Vacation Ownership is currently seeking a Senior Decision Analyst in Orlando, Florida. Candidates must have the querying skills and business acumen to extract data from our extensive databases (primarily Oracle) and translate it into meaningful analyses, reports and recommendations. With the company's shift in focus to SAS; a background in SAS programming is paramount to success in this role, as well as a complete understanding of Oracle SQL. The position requires at least 3 years experience in Business Analysis.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


- Create stored procedures, macros, and Base SAS code which are sufficiently flexible and robust so other teams within WVO can leverage in their forecasting and analysis efforts.
- Develop/Maintain/Enhance existing and new reporting initiaves required by the business.
- Meet with other departments and leaders to evaluate business needs and propose new reporting/analytical solutions.
- Take ownership of all analyses related to specific business function, support and migrate reporting and analysis to SAS.
- Improve the process flows and streamline data feeds to optimize efficiencies across the organization.


Qualifications
Education


- BS Degree in a business or mathematics discipline.
- Masters Degree Preferred
Training requirements


- 3+ years using SAS in an analytical environment to drive business decisions.
- 3+ years experience with large Oracle relational databases.
- 3+ years experience extracting data from multiple source systems and translating this data into meaningful analyses, reports and recommendations.
- 3+ years experience in data manipulation using Oracle SQL querying tools such as Oracle SQL*Plus, SQL Navigator, Toad
Knowledge and skills


- Experience developing reports and making recommendations, using BI software such as SAS, OBIEE, etc.
- Experience interpreting models or forecasts to make educated decisions. A strong understanding of statistical methodologies and concepts.
Technical Skills


- Experience with large Oracle relational databases.
- Experience extracting data from multiple source systems and translating this data into meaningful analyses, reports and recommendations.
- Data manipulation using Oracle SQL querying tools such as Oracle SQL*Plus, SQL Navigator, Toad.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using SAS for reporting and data manipulation.
- Experience in a BI environment.
Job experience


- 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst, preferably using Base SAS and SAS Enterprise Guide.
Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
