Join us as a Duty Manager at Holiday Inn Cairns Harbourside. You'll have ambition, talent and obviously some key skills. Because, for this vital role, r eporting to the Front Office Manager, you'll be involved in all matters affecting our guest experience to ensure our key markets receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel.

In addition, you'll lead our Guest Experience Specialists to respond to guest needs and the proactive resolution of any issue that may arise. You will ensure our Front Office team has all the information they need to do their job by conducting daily departmental briefings, proactively developing your team and providing input for regular Front Office meetings. You will be the key point of contact within the property and be fully conversant with all hotel emergency procedures.<br><br> Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 3 years experience in a hotel front office department with experience in both front desk and reservations with a minimum 1 year experience as a team leader, shift leader, assistant manager or duty manager. You'll have excellent customer relations, problem solving and time management skills, have a working knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Opera, and an understanding of point of sales systems such as Micros.
