Our InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort is looking for a talented full time Chef de Partie for our Kitchen brigade to bring to work their genuine and friendly personality and join our dynamic & professional Culinary Team.

You will be passionate about creating great food that incorporates the best of what Australia has to offer, have an interest in sourcing the finest local ingredients and sustainable produce. You will want to take your profile as a creative and successful Chef to the next level with professional support and have an interest in working within our global brand.

As a Chef de Partie you will be assisting Sous Chef by supervising the operation of the assigned kitchen(s), including food preparation and quality, physical maintenance, and inventory functions to ensure hotel quality standards and revenue goals and food and supply costs are met. You will have a full working knowledge and capacity to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks to the required standard.

You will have extensive knowledge of new culinary trends, having thorough understanding of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend food and beverage combinations to produce a consistent and high quality product.<br><br> Ideally, you'll have previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie and are looking for the next challenge in your career. You'll have experience in delivering a high level of food quality in a hotel or restaurant environment and preferably will have worked with food safety system such as HACCP. It is expected that you will be proactive towards change & improvement and participate in the hotel committees and have an awareness of reporting system such as hazards and incidents.

You will have availability to work across a seven day rotating roster, inclusive of public holidays and hold a current drivers license. You must also meet the legal requirements to work in this country.
