Holiday Inn Auckland Airport is located 3 km from Auckland Airport, 10 km from Stardome Observatory and 14 km from Vodafone Events Centre . Our hotel is looking for a friendly and professional Assistant Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team.

You'll be responsible for supervising the overall Housekeeping functions where you'll oversee rooms and public areas to ensure that product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will assist with the assignment of rooms to room attendants, ensure they are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties. You'll also be required to carry out the inspection of storage rooms and room attendant carts for neatness, cleanliness and adequacy of supplies, complete all paperwork and closing duties such as filling out supply requisitions, maintenance request forms, and updating log books etc and liaise with Front Office for guests' special requirements.

You will also co-ordinate special cleaning projects to maintain the rooms and public areas in an excellent condition and may need to perform all housekeeping duties necessary including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning guest rooms etc.<br><br> Ideally, you'll have appropriate housekeeping related qualifications, a minimum of 1 year housekeeping supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel of a similar size and complexity, including some supervisory training/experience, excellent communication and guest relations skills. You will have a strong attention to detail as well as being physically mobile and able to carry, push and lift heavy objects such as beds, bedsheets, vacuum cleaners etc.

You must meet the legal requirements to work in New Zealand.
