Job Description
Having acquired the premier luxury vacation rental company in the market ca 18 months ago, we are looking for the right senior leadership to grow our dynamic business. The right candidate will have a keen customer-centric focus, understanding the drivers of customer satisfaction, and flawless execution of second-to-none customer service. They will lead and align our resources across the business in providing exceptional experiences in our portfolio of ca 500 unique, luxury properties in the Palm Springs, Palm Desert, LaQuinta and neighbouring areas. The successful candidate should also possess demonstrated commercial acumen and sales leadership skills, identifying areas of business expansion plus the ability to lead the sales team to maximize those opportunities. With demonstrated sound judgement and a bias towards action, they will lead the ca 50 member team from the front, in an environment of trust, respect and inclusion, reflecting the values of Wyndham Vacation Rentals in all aspects of the role.
This position is responsible for all facets of the business, including sales and marketing, financial management, owner and guest satisfaction, associate relations, third party relations and compliance with quality standards and standard operating procedures within this market. This role oversees a local management team which includes leaders within the following functions: sales and marketing, property management, operations, reservations and business development.
As an Executive General Manager you will provide expert leadership to the management team while championing company philosophies and systems with your: - Keen financial and analytical skills. - Knowledge of the business and focus on sales and marketing - Thorough understanding of relevant departmental operations and controls - Proven track record of assessing and growing a strong leadership team - Innate leadership presence to provide strategic direction with a hands-on approach
You will be responsible for achieving the prescribed financial, service, and growth targets as outlined in each current year's budget for your location. In addition, you will be responsible for: - Budgeting and financial performance - Maintaining and improving the "customer first" culture that delivers Count On Me! service to our owners, guests, associates and communities; develop and sustain a highly engaged workforce - Immersing yourself in the local market, generating new business for our portfolio - Proactively build strong owner relations aimed at improving owner retention - Representing Wyndham leadership and maintaining an excellent relationship with our third party vendors in the local market - Mentoring, developing, and growing your managers - Maintaining a positive relationship with our partners in Human Resources, Legal, IT and Finance/Accounting and ensuring that our policies and processes are properly administered
1. High School Diploma, some college preferred. 2. Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, preferably in vacation rentals, resort operations or real estate industry.
