Raffles Europejski Warsaw , scheduled for opening in 2017, not only brings a new luxury hotel to this fast changing city, but also heralds the next chapter for one of the city's most iconic and best loved buildings. Restaurant Head Chef

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Executive Chef , responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
• Conduct daily shift briefings to Kitchen Colleagues
• Manage inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and the issuing of supplies and equipment for food production
• Cost menus accurately
• Ensure all Kitchen Colleagues are aware of standards and expectations
• Liaise daily with the Outlet Manager to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedback
• Maintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and proper rotation of product in chillers
• Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
• Ensure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelines
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned Qualifications:

• In-depth culinary knowledge
• Completed an internationally recognized apprenticeship, culinary school or certified training program
• Apprenticeship or any other culinary certificate/diploma an advantage
• Minimum 10 year experience in culinary field with at least 5 years' experience in an international recognised restaurant or high volume restaurant of a 5-star calibre
• Physically fit
• Good command of English
• Knowledge of other languages and basic understanding of local language preferred
• Must have a strong culinary experience (international preferred)
• Excellent leadership & supervisory skills with a "hands-on" approach
• Positive attitude and high energy level
• Motivator & self-starter; displays initiative & creativity
• Team player and team builder
• Flexible & adaptable to different working locations
• Cost control knowledge Visa Requirements: Must be eligible to work in Poland
