Oversees and directs all aspects of the hotel's commercial operation, including direct sales, sales so l licitation, and sales administration. Is coaching and training a team of dedicated Sales representatives.

Reports directly to the General Manager. Interacts with Revenue Manager and Regional
Director of Sales. Supervises Sales Manager, Banquet Sales Manager and other sales
team members.

· In conjunction with the Revenue Manager, Banquet Sales Manager and the executive committee produces the annual Revenue Plan, Sales budgets and forecasts.
· Processes, implements and monitors action plans to achieve Revenue and profit Plan objectives.
· Analyses current and potential markets/trends, coordinates all activities to maintain and increase revenue through added business volume and increased rate.
· Procures new and repeat business by monitoring contact with luxury partners, travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs and professional marketing associations within local, domestic and international markets and selected industries.
· Maintain contact with planners, corporate accounts, incentive buyers, wholesalers, through personal sales calls, telephone contacts and written communications. Both for business and/or corporate as well as private bookings in rooms, venues and all other facilities of the hotel.
· Actively selling all facilities of the hotel including all f&b departments, Health Club etc.
· Creates, implements and coaches on special programmes to achieve greater productivity.
· Ensures the InterContinental Amstel is represented as an active member of the local community through association membership and networking.
· Coordinates sales and promotes business for other IHG hotels within the region. Interacts with worldwide regional sales offices with particular attention to local office.
· Plans and executes sales trips to major market areas and attends major travel functions to promote Sales for the hotel.
· Conducts weekly reviews of sales personnel activity to ensure targets and sales objectives are being met.
· Produces monthly Sales reports and forecasts.
· Meets with guests from major and strategic producers/organisers of big events staying in the hotel to ensure customer satisfaction.
· Establishes and continuously updates mailing lists.
· Organises and attends sales/PR related functions within the hotel.
· Establishes active and continuous focus all rating scores on standards and quality
· Member of the Management Team and actively involving all operational departments on sales actions.

· Excellent skills in communicating and writing in English
· Any other language, including Dutch, is favorable
· Proven experience in international luxury hotels sales environment<br><br>
