Sales & Marketing and Communication Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To be responsible for the daily leadership of the Marketing & Communication efforts, i.e. collateral, advertising, publications, community relations, media coverage, special events/promotions and to reinforce the corporate identity.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


• Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel services/features

• Maintain high level of knowledge of the Raffles product; promote all Raffles properties whenever possible

• Promote positive relations with colleagues from all departments, as well as International Sales Offices and PR Agencies

• Develop relationships with key media players and the travel industry

• Maintain good relationships with counterparts at competing hotels; be knowledgeable about competitors product

• Create PR & Marketing plan

• Ensure brand guidelines are followed in all areas and departments

• Assist F&B, Spa and other key areas with appropriate collateral, implement promotions, new concepts or any other required innovations

• Writing of press releases

• Main contact for Journalists and editors

• Main contact for PR/Marketing department of the local and international Tourism Board Offices and airlines

• Execute Monthly PR report

• Ensure financial successes of hotel by overseeing all expenses and ensure return on investment of all activities

• ability to create newsworthy stories for the media and assist the team in a creative way to make the hotel and its new developments/offers stand apart from its competitors

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES


• Ability to prioritize, organize work assignments and maintain follow-through

• Perform job function independently with minimal supervision, even under pressure, but also work cohesively as a team

• Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guests and hotel data

• Ability to enforce hotel's quality procedures, etc.

• Clear thinker who can analyze and resolve problems with good judgment

• Creative and innovative

• Outstanding writing and oral communication skills (additional language skills are an advantage)

• Ability to interface confidently with high-profile customers and media

EXPERIENCE


• Minimum five years' experience in hotel operations, or related, in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertisement or Sales
