As Head of External Communications you will be part of a dynamic and rapidly evolving business, where compelling content and communications is core to our corporate reputation and brand PR agenda.
Key responsibilities include:

•Shape and deliver Alshaya's external communications strategy, aligned to our overall business and corporate communications objectives
•Develop your annual plan and lead your team to support Alshaya's corporate reputation, and the messaging goals of our retail brands, as part of Alshaya's broader Customer, Marketing and Communications agenda
•Create and deliver Alshaya's corporate narrative to a wide range of audiences and across multiple external channels
•Work closely with the internal communications team, marketing colleagues and stakeholders across the business including C-Suite executives
•Manage and evolve Alshaya's corporate external channels (including web and social media) - supporting integration with brand marketing channels
•Provide editorial / PR support and counsel to brand marketing teams to help them optimise their campaign impact and tell powerful brand stories
•Demonstrate thought leadership and champion best practice within the function - including innovative approaches to measurement and insight Qualifications & Requirements:
You will have:

•Great story telling and content ideation skills
•Extensive experience of leading communications teams and delivering high-impact campaigns and content
•Private sector experience working within large complex organisations, preferably in a multi-brand, multi-geography context - retail experience advantageous
•A mix of agency and in-house communications experience preferred
•Proven track record of effective team, project and process management
•A university degree, ideally within communications or a related subject, is essential
