 Prepare weekly rotas to ensure sufficient manning to facilitate a smooth operation.
 Ensure necessary paperwork, administration, controls and records are undertaken and maintained as directed by security legislation.
 Attend daily operation briefings to ensure awareness of activities in the hotel, sharing relevant information with the team.
 Develop and maintain good working relations with the local fire, police and government departments.
 Manage patrols of the hotel at frequent intervals, documenting activities in accordance with safety, security policies and procedures.
 Manage and perform thorough investigations on incidences as and when they occur. This may include but is not limited to; guest or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, noise disturbance etc.
 Process all written reports involving security related incidents as mentioned above.
 Seek to improve safety and security at the hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective.
 Develop and maintain written procedures (with relevant department heads) for handling emergencies that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, power failure or bomb threats.
 Participate in relevant training to gain a comprehensive understanding for the successful implementation and execution of emergency procedures.
 Ensure all hotel entrances and exits are without obstruction, secured by appropriate resources where applicable, locked and unlocked in accordance with the hotel’s policy.
 Manage the security of the hotel’s key system, ensuring all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access.
 Ensure all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering.
 Complete a daily security log, including pertinent information from the shift, to maintain for record and shift handover purposes.
 Manage and supervise the monitoring of the hotel’s CCTV system and appropriate back up of information.
 Carries out regular analysis of security processes to identify any short falls, implementing necessary corrective action where applicable.
