Cluster Training & Quality Assurance Manager

Job Brief Includes:
As a Training & Quality Assurance Manager, you serve as an integral component of the Human Resources function by supporting learning and development initiatives through our comprehensive training framework. To ensure the overall development needs of the hotels are sustained by identifying and developing suitable training solutions.

What will I be doing?
• Conducts TNA for the hotel & Prepare annual training budget, plans and training calendars for the hotel
• Create monthly L&D calendar based on TNA and communicate to all departments.
• Conduct off job training sessions, particularly in the areas of customer service and quality.
• Develop and conduct foundational trainings, back to basics trainings, supervisory and managerial level trainings such as service culture training, train the trainer, supervisory development, interviewing skills, performance management and any other relevant courses as required.
• Support individual and team development, career development, and training and experience-based learning
• Induct, coach, and mentor new Team Members
• Interact with hotel leaders responsible for people development on a daily basis to provide support to operational departments
• Partner with department to deliver training programs and other organizational and leadership development interventions
• Ensure all delegates receive a pre-course brief and post course evaluation.
• Ensure certification is issued for delegates who attend and completes corporate training.
• Ensure the training notice board is kept up to date with current calendar and relevant training information.
• Ensure that all employees receive appropriate orientation, a handbook and local guide and information on HR services.
• Assist in the selection of Departmental Trainers, then trains and develops them through on going workshops and monthly meetings.
• Pro-actively shapes a service-oriented culture within the operation by measuring and monitoring guest feedback and establishing effective means of communicating this to the management and staff.
• Visit on the job training sessions of new and existing employees.
• Makes regular checks to ensure On Job Training is happening to the agreed standard.
• Conduct monthly departmental trainers meetings with all Departmental Trainers.
• To ensure the maintenance of training aids, order training materials and stationery as required for the training office and training courses.
• Ensures all necessary documents are being filed or archived.
• Co-ordinates training with nominated suppliers for courses such as food hygiene, HACCP, First Aid, Life Guard Training etc.
• Provide individual or group instruction to Department Heads and Supervisors to improve the effectiveness of their staff meetings, performances appraisals or other training related activities.
• Review appraisal forms and develop IDP for all Colleague’s and recommend appropriate courses.
• Ensures departments have up to date service standards and SOP’s and guides and coaches in the production of the same.
• Join the Human Resources Manager and respective colleagues in setting up Orientation Programmes and initiate 21 days buddy program for new recruits and monitors this whenever possible.
• Prepare a monthly training report for the Hotel.
• Initiate SDP based on the hotel requirements and succession planning,
• Conduct leadership trainings for HOD’s/Assistant HOD’s either internal or external based on the hotel needs.
• Coordinate with HR for all the employee engagement activities.
• Ensure the training documentations are up to date.

Quality Assurance

• Define and implement an efficient Quality Assurance operating model to align with the
• Company’s business goals.
• Ensure 100% compliance to Ramada & Hawthorn Brand Standards.
• Responsible for Monthly internal quality audit and ensure compliance in all areas.
• Quality Assurance trainings to be conducted for all departments.
• Quality audit findings must be shared and action plan to be made by concerned departments.
• Monthly room audit sheet to be maintained and shared with concerned department heads.
• Help departments elevate the process efficiency.

What we are looking for:
• Experience in managing and developing people.
• Thorough Knowledge of the hotel operations.
• Problem solving and time management skills.
• Develop and conduct guest focused training programs.
• In-depth knowledge of training plans and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills & presentation skills and ability to communicate information to groups in a clear manner.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Background of Medallia platform will be a plus point.

• Demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal relationships
• Positive attitude
• Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
• It would be an advantage to have any Training or HR certifications.
