Trainee HR Business Partner

The Trainee HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting the Lead HR Business Partner and HR Senior Director in the delivery of the people agenda and business partner priorities for the region. The job holder acts as a business partner to managers/senior managers, working in conjunction with the Lead HR Business Partner to provide expert HR advice and guidance on all people related matters, including organisational design, change management, recruitment and selection, talent management and development, engagement and employee relations. The Trainee HR Business Partner will support the wider HR team with projects where opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency have been identified.


- Work closely with business leaders as a business partner to understand their priorities and objectives, communicating effectively with the Lead Business Partner to ensure alignment of HR activity in an environment in which the goals of the business leaders can be realised.

- Understand and utilise HR metrics and business performance to identify solutions that drive improvements.

- Provide a highly professional, confidential and efficient service of support to employees, Managers and Directors in line with current UK employment legislation and best practice, providing expert HR advice and guidance on all people related matters, including the application of policies and procedures to minimise risk.

- Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring the business is compliant with all labour, equal employment opportunity and employee relations statutes and regulations.

- Support managers with the creation and implementation of engagement plans and initiatives to maintain an engaged and motivated team.

- Support the roll out and co-ordination of global HR initiatives.

- Ensure the effective attraction, recruitment, selection and retention of high calibre employees and take responsibility to ensure that organisational staffing requirements are met through driving proactive and innovative recruitment practices.

- Manage projects assigned by the Lead HR Business Partner.

- Ensure accurate and up to date employee data administration.

- To support and assist with all compensation and benefits initiatives.

- To support and assist the Employee Relations Business Partner EME as and when required.

- To support and assist with global initiatives such as Wyndham Green, Success Matters, Diversity and Inclusion, Corporate Social Responsibility and Associate Opinion Surveys.

- Forge strong working relationships and work closely with other RCI regions and Wyndham business units and share best practice and drive continuous improvement.

- Build external networks with supplier 'partners', industry specialists and peers.


Qualifications
At least 2 years' experience in a generalist HR Advisor/Officer role
- Strong interpersonal skills and discretion/confidentiality

- Team player with a high level of initiative and self-direction

- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise

- Strong business acumen

- Analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong conflict resolution skills

- Understanding of employment law and experience of employee relations situations

- Ability to multi task and work under pressure

QUALIFICATIONS

- CIPD qualified - Level 5

Desirable

- Degree level qualification

- Coaching qualification
