Your day to day
As Director of Operations - Southern Europe, your purpose is to drive performance across our Managed Hotels across Southern Europe. Maximising profits, guest experience and quality through the deployment of suitable supervision across the designated region & hotels.
 

•Identify any potential opportunities to develop the IHG brand within your region  

•Coach and support General Managers & Area General Manager to develop commercially viable 5-year strategy, budgets and action plans so IHG is positioned correctly against competition  

•Develop strategies and plans to ensure we attract, engage and retain the best talent  

•Ensure all hotels within your remit are compliant with up to date health & safety regulations and relevant compliance  

•Responsible for ensuring hotels have an effective action plan in place to adhere to brand standards  

•Sign off and support individual hotel business plans, capital plans and requests
What we need from you
This is a hands-on role, in the heart of where our magic happens so you must be commercially astute with strong influencing skills capable of driving business performance across operations whilst ensuring best in class guest experience.
 

•A great relationship builder; you will be working with General Managers & Area General Managers & owners to ensure they leverage the IHG brand to the best of their ability  

•You will be a strong influencer, able to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure GM's/AGM's can fully leverage the IHG brand  

•Along with English additional language skills would be beneficial  

•At least 10 years successful track record of hotel/functional management at multi-unit level  

•Educated to degree level in either Hotel or Business Administration
