We are looking for :-

As a Chef de Partie, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. As a chef de partie you get to oversee a section of the kitchen. This is why the job is sometimes called a station chef or line cook. You will get help from demi-chef de partie, commis or trainee chef during busy time.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chef De Cuisine, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

 Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
 Managing and training any demi chef de parties or commis working with you
 Helping the sous chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
 Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
 Ensures waste is minimized through adhering to established par level, production, and waste standards.
 Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues
 Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
 Follow the guidance of the executive or Head chef and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes
 Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
 Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
 Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
 Establishes and maintains effective colleague relations, friendly environment and inter-departmental working relations
 Execute the function of his/her area to exceed set standards and member satisfaction.
 Maintain quality and consistency levels of production and presentation, as directed.
 Ensures all standardized recipes are utilized and followed.
 Attends and contributes to all meetings called for.
 Other duties and responsibilities as dictated by the Executive, Head Chef

Person Specification

 College/University Diploma in Culinary
 At least 2 - 3 years’ experience as Demi Chef in a 4/5*Hotel
 Excellent communication and organizational skills
 Presentable, well-groomed with leadership quality.
 Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
 Highly responsible & reliable
 Ability to work well under pressure and independently in a fast-paced environment
 Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
 Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
 An ability to delegate appropriately
 Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

Other Skills

 Ability to work flexible schedule to meet high volume work periods;
 Confident and outspoken; a good presenter but also a good listener
 Dynamic and enthusiastic personality – with warmth, sincerity and charm
