The hotel also boasts the magnificent King's Hall - a firm favourite for weddings and celebration - as well as seven additional meeting and event rooms and a newly equipped gym.

Your day to day
Join our award winning team at The Principal Edinburgh George Street as our new Junior Sous Chef for The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen!Our hotel was named 'Scottish Hotel of the Year 2017' and more recently, we won 'Banqueting Team of the Year 2018'! We are tremendously proud of our accomplishments and are seeking new talent to help us bring future success!

You will be responsible for assisting the day to day running of The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen section, as well as the development and coaching of the junior members in the brigade. You will support the Sous Chef to ensure that all banquets operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel and are individually profitable.

What we need from you
It would be desirable that you have previous experience operating at a similar level, with effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work independently, using own initiative. The ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload is important. You must balance driving for results with the ability to coach and mentor the chefs and their skills, supporting development of capability levels and succession planning.
