At the moment we are looking for Steward to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate team at Grand Hyatt Amman
Grand Hyatt Amman enjoys a prime location in Amman. Grand Hyatt Amman is only a 30-minute drive from Queen Alia International Airport. The 312 rooms equipped with an array of modern amenities and latest technology.
For meetings and conferences, the hotel is well equipped for hosting business and social gatherings of every description, with nine flexible function rooms. Over 340 colleagues are committed to maintaining the highest standards of luxury, quality and service which define the company.
As for Steward, you will be reporting directly to Stewarding Manager and below are some of the key responsibilities:

Main Duties:

Customer Service
· To provide excellent service to internal customers as appropriate.
Operational
· To ensure that the assigned place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
· To perform general cleaning duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager or Team Leader - Stewarding.
· To clean and wash dishes according to the established performance standards.
· To clean and wash pots, pans and other kitchen utensils according to performance standards.
· To empty rubbish bins according to scheduled garbage runs.
· To strictly adhere to the opening and closing procedures established for the department.
· To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all cleaning procedures, use of dishwashing machines and the type of chemicals to be used.
· To treat all operating equipment and supplies carefully to minimize damage and reduce wastage.
· To assist in carrying out quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of operating equipment.
· To work in a supportive and flexible manner with other associates and other departments, in a spirit of "We work through Teams".

Other Duties:

· To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag.
· To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department grooming standards.
· To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
· To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
· To read the hotel's Associate Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environment.
· To comply with local legislation as required.
· To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
· To be flexible in the job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned, including redeployment to other departments/ areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.
· To attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.
