Your day to day
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Reacts to situations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the Hotel.• Responds to guests' needs and resolves related problems whilst maintaining record for management.• Supports and assists Front Office personnel and all departments at peak periods.• Ensures VIP guests receive special attention.• Assists Guest Relation in greeting, rooming and sending off VIP guests.• Monitors appropriate standards of conduct, uniform, hygiene and appearance of staff.• Provides input for Front Office meetings.• Promotes inter-hotel sales and in-house facilities.• Analyses and approves discounts and rebates.• Analyses the rate potential revenue report to ensure room revenue is controlled.• Takes action with the Property Management System (PMS) in emergency situations.• In absence of Reservation staff, checks all incoming faxes and reply if urgent. • Ensures system Back-up save is done daily as scheduled and maintain a record.• Assists guests in accessing the Internet.• Assists guest in resolving any difficulties with the Safety Box in the room.• Ensures hotel mail is checked regularly and forwarded to appropriate departments.• Ensures the master key record is maintained and all keys signed in and out without exception.• Checks all correspondence for following arrival dates ensuring all requests are met and rooms are correctly assigned.• Controls room allocations.• Ensures all sections are covered as per their departmental schedule.• Ensures all hotel Limousines are to standard before departing hotel and charges are posted correctly.• Holds daily briefings.• Ensures room and taxes are posted correctly on bills.• Ensures all staff is aware of daily functions.• Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.• Performs related duties and other projects as assigned.
