The Canvas Hotel- Dubai is looking for Hygiene Officer. If you have previous experience in a similar role, gained within luxurious hotel/resort environment and would like to become a part of an exciting and dynamic team that gives you opportunities to grow, then we would like to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities-
 To have a full working knowledge of all hygiene and occupational health & safety regulations in the UAE, according to Dubai Municipality standards.
 To possess the HACCP certification and to comply and follow at all times the HACCP processes put into place.
 To strictly adhere to the established operating expenses and ensure that all costs are controlled.
 To ensure that the Stewarding Department is managed, providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times.
 To assist and coach in the operation and be visible during peak times or major events having a hands on approach.
 To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work.
 To assign responsibilities to subordinates, implementing multi tasking principle and to check their performance periodically.
 To liaise with the Kitchen and Food & Beverage Department on daily operations and quality control.
 To ensure that back-of-house cleaning schedules and garbage runs are strictly adhered to and areas are cleaned according to the established standards.
 To ensure documented weekly walkthrough with Executive Chef, and Assistant Food and Beverage Manager
 To ensure that the back of the House areas are kept clean and organized.
 To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all Food & Beverage equipment needs and network with other hotels to borrow equipment as and when needed.
 To maintain proper training records for all employees, in conjunction with the Training Department.
 To organize training sessions on regular basis for hygiene and occupational health and safety related topics. To assist in planning, implementing and monitoring both General/Core Training programs related to Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety Training.
 To prepare and participate in the Monthly Objective Review.
 To possess the HACCP certification and other certifications required by the Municipality or by the Management.
 Ensure that all chemicals are updated in proper file as well as used properly.
 To liaise with the Security Department on occupational safety issues.
 To update the management on regular basis on new trends or laws related to hygiene and occupational health & safety. To train the management and employees on those new standards.
 To liaise on regular basis with the Dubai Municipality, and keep good relation with authorities and inspectors.
 To assist with the compilation of the hotel's / department's Departmental Operations Manuals on sections related to health and food safety.
 To assist in developing departmental trainers, assign training responsibilities and meet with Departmental Trainers monthly.
