Crowne Plaza London- Kensington facilities include a boutique style lobby, a private Club Lounge, an amazing restaurant, a lively bar, five conference rooms and a fitness centre  

The Role:
Your focus will be to effectively manage and sell the meetings and events space. You will be able to maximise all opportunities to convert business in order to achieve budget expectations. You will also be required to conduct strategical analysis and identify opportunities through your market knowledge.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Assist in driving all Sales activity to develop new and existing accounts at hotel level and on a National and International basis.
•Accountable for developing the local emerging commercial markets.
•To manage the existing account base
•To analyse productivity figures for all selected accounts.
•To achieve set Targets (Revenue, new business, sales calls, etc)
•To identify and generate sales leads for business development from all available channels.
•To undertake all sales activity in line with the agreed expense budget.
•Assist in the planning of local sales promotions for relevant market segments
•To keep up to date with market trends, competitor developments and customer performance
•Ensure consistency of brand identity across all the business units according to established brand guidelines and standards
•Assist managing the online strategy, Social Media and planned exposure of all units via the owned websites, parent company websites, third party sites and e-marketing initiatives
•Updating content and packages on all digital and offline channels
•Acts as PR gatekeeper liaising with the national and international representative PR agencies, ensuring the integration of their plans with the marketing plans and acting as principal contact for all PR, journalist, filming and photographic shoot enquiries
•Assist managing marketing and PR relationship with alliance partners and other key tourism partners to maximize the revenue generating opportunities through these channels
•Execute digital and direct mail campaigns in accordance with the marketing plans
•Create, plan and execute special events in accordance with the marketing plan in support of the sales team including production and distribution of invitations (including e-invitations)
•Weekly and monthly reports on marketing activity including tracking of marketing activity.
•Arrange all administration of journalist visits including arrangement and confirmation
•Press release distribution and follow-up
•Assist with setting up and running of events throughout the year
•Assist with preparation of briefs to be submitted to designers and printers and request quotes as needed including comparative quotations
•Evaluation of opportunities and submission of promotions to third party promotional partners
•Manage actual expenditure against budget expenditure through authorized purchase orders and invoice records
•Work with the Property Management System and internal IT systems to ensure that all activities are accurately recorded
What we're looking for:

•Previous sales experience in a Hotel or Conference Centre is essential
•Previous marketing education or experience is desired
•Social Media knowledge
•Excellent organisational and administration skills
•Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
•Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
•Confident telephone manner
•High level of IT skills
