OUTLET SUPERVISOR- FAIRMONT LOUNGE

Job Purpose
The Food & Beverage department is searching for a creative, organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic who consistently strives for perfection. This energetic individual must be dedicated and be able to adapt to a changing environment, have a creative flare and be up to date with current culinary trends. The successful candidate will enhance the reputation, quality and performance of our F&B Department. This position will be responsible for the effective and efficient day to day operation of our dynamic outlet. The Outlet Supervisor/ Shift Leader will also be involved in training & coaching of outlet colleagues .

Primary Responsibilities
1 st primary responsibilities: Manage the daily operations of Outlet Services


• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Lead and supervise the team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed.
• Handle guests concerns and reacts quickly and professionally.
• Train Colleagues in the absence of the trainer.
• Balance operational, administrative and Colleagues need.
• Contribute to departmental meetings.
• Review all banquet event orders to ensure proper set-ups are in place.
• Work with the Conference Services and Catering department to ensure that revenues and guest satisfaction levels are maximized.
• Ensure proper staffing and scheduling of all Colleagues in accordance to productivity guidelines.
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Other duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities

• Act as a member of one or more of the hotel's internal committees, i.e. Social Committee
• Increase knowledge of the industry trends.

• The ability to think 'out of the box' and see the big picture.

• Management of guest complaints.

• Strong Food & Beverage knowledge.

• Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at one time.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• The ability to delegate tasks to team members and facilitate their completion.
• Must possess leadership qualities and follow up skills.
• The ability to recognize and correct guest service issues throughout an established presence on the floor.
• Excellent organizational skills required.
• Passion for food and beverage.
• Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure.
• Creative, effective leader and team player, possessing a high degree of professionalism, sound human resources management principles, communication, administrative skills, ambition, drive, energy and determination.

Competencies


• Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset.
• Post secondary degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline a strong asset.
• Working knowledge of Micros or similar P.O.S. system an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills required.
• Sense of humor.
• Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
