As a Team Leader in our Asian Restaurant, you’ll lead the outlet operations, ensuring quality service and standards are maintained to deliver a great guest experience. Always following government regulations concerning health, safety or other requirements.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, your key job responsibilities will include but not limited to:

– promote and maintain company standards of quality, service, presentation and cleanliness
– maintain profitability through increased sales and reduced costs whilst maintaining company operating standards
– ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to and staff receive all of the required training in compliance with all statutory and company procedures
– take an active role in coaching and developing junior staff
– control the pace of service ensuring good rapport with customers, ensuring all duties and daily administration are completed within the time frames and to actively respond to customer complaints
– Consistently motivate staff to achieve the highest level of service and adopt a balanced approach to dealing with staff problems and issues
– follow the marketing plan as directed by the Director of Food & Beverage
– Work together with your fellow Supervisor, to ensure that your restaurant achieves its full potential

Ideally, you will have previous experience as a supervisor or minimum 2-year experience at a captain level, and a minimum of 3 years within a hospitality environment are preferred for the role. You will have superior customer service skills, enthusiasm for the service industry, ability to work under pressure and flexible to the needs of the business, basic knowledge of computer skills, ability to develop leadership skills. Knowledge of the weekly accounts, rotas and wages, an understanding of the cost of sales and profit and loss accounts and how to increase profitability through effective management.

Ultimately, you will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English. You will be a self-starter and you will be able to demonstrate understanding of the business and link the business environment to IHG commitments; have a high level of drive for results; will be adaptable and flexible with the ability to build relationships in a multi-cultural environment and gain trust and support of team members and senior managers. You will have exceptional planning, organizing and delegating skills with attention to detail. You will have the ability to handle guest requests and complaints and exhibit strong decision-making skills to deliver brand service standards resulting in highest guest satisfaction. You will possess a high level of integrity to lead by example and gain the respect of peers and colleagues.
